infantry are mowed down by tanks (realistic but annoying), and alot of the features like the ammo thing i said feel more built for smaller squad like combat (like the original Mow) and not for the huge attacks you sometimes have to do in the Skirmish.

In CoH you have unlimited ammo which is even worse, I like Men of War but at least with Assault Squad its more annoying than anything else, The second USA skirmish is a perfect example i spent hours doing that one on Normal or Hard and in a final effort to finish it i charged the 'final' objective after heavily shelling it then, captured it and then suddenly a column of enemy tanks come from the top of the map, i think it was to simulate the carentan counter-attack which didnt come the minute the last German position in Carnetan was taken.

Men of war (assault squad) has some things that really annoy me tho, like when your men run out of ammo, you have to manually go and pick up ammo for each soldier that can be really annoying especially when you're repelling a counter attack or something. Im currently looking into CoH voices in order to use them as replacement for MoW unit voices.

I agree that CoH has much better audio and is more 'fluid', but I made some mods to deal with crappy music, cheesy main menu movie as well as problem with HORRIBLY loud ambient noises. I would advise to use stock MoW for DCG as that version has MUCH more units available. Also DCG is based on reading one special save (one you direct it to) to determine what happened in battle, so it is very easy to cheat (no point IMHO), and its easy to make a stupid mistake and saving game again.
